So, as usual I started my day very early, and after my first pot of tea - tea is certainly one of my passions - I received an email from an old friend back in the days when we partied hard and that was basically all we did. Times have changed… he is living in Spain now, and he was asking me about a link to a video I send out to some people…

Well, we ended up having a conversation, and what I learned was that obviously not everybody enjoys the online world as much as I do. He explained me that he doesn’t publish his photos online or anything like that, and it actually seemed to be important to him to keep it like that. Mh, well, ok, I thought, I probably need to remind myself more often that there is still a lot of offline folks out there…

Then I started to think about my online activities, and even though to a guy like my friend in Spain it probably looks like I am trying every little toy that is out there, I personally don’t feel that way. Sure, I have a digg, a del.icio.us, facebook, xing and a flickr account and I use them quite frequently, but that’s pretty much it.

One thing I couldn’t make friends with yet is twitter, of course I tested it out, but well, it didn’t work for me… And this is one thing that kind of drives me crazy, all these online celebrities twitter like crazy, I am in the same business, so why doesn’t this stupid thing make sense to me? OK, lets think about possible tweets for today, 6AM: sitting at my computer, 8AM: sitting at my computer, 9AM: brewing another pot of tea, going back to my computer, 10AM: going to the restroom, going back to my computer… well, I suppose nobody wants to read that, it looks like my social life pretty much takes place between my office chair and my office desk… So my conclusion is: I am not a good match for twitter, at least not at the moment.

But hey, I just realized that Kai is on the road quite often, hehe, I think I will set him up with a twitter account and connect it to our blog, otherwise has has no chance to outpost me anyways…
